Registration takes places all year. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students are accepted on a "first come, first serve" basis. Registration must be done by the parent or guardian in person. Interested persons should bring the following items at the time of registration:
- Birth Certificate (Kindergartners must be 5 years old on or before September 1st. First graders must be 6 years old on or before September 1st and must have satisfactorily attended kindergarten.)
- Social Security card
- Proof of Physical within the last year
- Proof of Immunization (HRS Form)
- Proof of Residency in Orange County using one of the following:
- Homestead Exemption Card
- Manifestation of Domicile
- Lease Agreement
- Notarized Statement
When the quota is reached, a waiting list based on a random selection process is started and families are contacted as openings become available.
